Joe Maddon is not a fan of AC/DC.

The Cubs manager on Monday night excused an error by second baseman Starlin Castro during Chicago's 9-5 win over the Brewers, saying the infield surface was uneven, according to the Chicago Tribune.

But rather than make it a groundskeeping issue, Maddon placed the blame on Rock 'N Roll noise pollution.

"Since the AC/DC concert, we've had a little bit of trouble," Maddon said in referring to the Australian rock band's performance on Sept. 15. "I don't know if they were out there taking ground balls before the game, or if they had 9-inch heels or spikes.

"They totally messed up the infield, and it has nothing to do with the groundskeepers. I've seen a bad hop at third, and a bad hop at second. I didn't see one bad hop all year. We just got to get it ironed out because I think Starlin has done a nice job at second base. I don't want anyone blaming him on that error. It was a weird hop."

Not one to let an opportunity to slip away, Castro added to the theory by taking an issue with the outfield grass.

"It's not even," Castro said. "Some places are long, some are short. It's not like it used to look."

The Cubs made three errors in the game, Deadspin reported, adding its own AC/DC reference.

"The Cubs' grounds crew has a big task ahead of it, because getting an infield back into shape on the fly is no small task," Deadspin wrote. "It's certainly not something that can be done dirt cheap."

The Deadspin report brought out more AC/DC references from its readers.
