Through two games defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, the Dolphins' big-ticket free agent item this offseason, has recorded a measly two tackles - and zero sacks - and has already generated some negative press.

In the opener Suh drew eyeballs when he kicked off Redskins running back Alfred Morris' helmet. The move may not have been intentional, but with Suh's history of stomping, it couldn't be ignored. This week, Suh's transgression appears to be "freelancing," on his own and throwing off the rest of the Dolphins defense per Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald.

Darrelle Revis Was A Better Buy Than Suh

Miami head coach Joe Philbin has already jumped out in front of the report, and said that is untrue.

"There was a report that Ndamukong Suh was freelancing out there on the field. I just watched the entire tape with the entire defensive staff. I didn't see anything of the sort. So I'm not sure where that came from," Philbin said.

Suh is clearly frustrated by his lack of impact, saying that the entire defense needs to be re-examined. "At the end of the day, we have to go back to the drawing board and figure out what we want to run so guys can make plays and go from there," Suh said.

The Dolphins are tied for the second-lowest sacks in the NFL (1) through two games, and they've given up the sixth-most rushing yards (284) in the league so far. Suh's impact on the running game was mammoth last season, as Detroit had the NFL's No. 1 run defense.
