What They're Saying

Georgia Tech head coach Paul Johnson on maintaining his team's focus, per Albany Herald: "I don't think we're as good as people think we are right now. It's my job to point that out to our guys, so that they know that. Sometimes when everybody's telling you you're all this and the cat's meow, that's a trap. You'd better not fall into it."

Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly on what he expects from sophomore QB DeShone Kizer, per Sporting News: "He's going to be a first-time starter, so we have to prepare for what that might entail. Certainly handling 'first times.' He's going to get a lot of 'first times.' We have to keep in him in a situation where he can deal with those 'first times.'"

Performance To Examine

With Malik Zaire suffering a season-ending ankle injury, the burden of success falls on Kizer's shoulders. The redshirt freshman led Notre Dame to a miraculous comeback victory over Virginia in Week 2 -- connecting with Will Fuller with 12 seconds left in the game.

Ranked 14th in the country, however, Georgia Tech isn't Virgina. Kizer will need to limit his mistakes if the Irish hope to remain unblemished.
