LeBron James, Greg Oden Instant Pals, Workout Partners In Miami [VIDEO]

LeBron James, the world's best basketball player, has taken new teammate Greg Oden under his wing, regularly working out with the seven-foot center and providing him insight into what it means to be a member of the two-time defending champion Miami Heat.

According to USA Today Sports, the two have often been seen working out together at the team’s facility in Miami and James recently posted a photo on Instagram of the pair hitting the weight room.

It’s been nearly four years now since the oft-injured Oden, a former No. 1 draft pick, engaged in such strenuous activities. But with his knees now healthy and motivated by James, the Heat are hoping for big returns on the one-year deal they inked him to earlier this summer.

At the time of the signing, Oden told USA Today he felt the Heat “knew what was best for him.” He later added “when I had a conversation with Coach [Erik] Spoelstra, hearing how much he knew about the training stuff that I was already doing… that was a big deciding factor.”

Now he has the added motivation of the league’s four-time MVP telling him just how much he needs him to make good on his efforts to become just the second player since the Michael Jordan era (Kobe led the Lakers to three straight titles from 2000 to 2002) to lead a team to a NBA three peat.

“I’m not going to sit here and say I’m 100 percent,” Oden told the newspaper. “But I’m moving well and I’m feeling good.”
