It’s time to get serious about your FanDuel lineups this week. As important as it is to find that low-priced breakout to throw in that seals the deal, it’s equally important to not spend big bucks on a dud. Here are five expensive players this week that you should stay away from.

Aaron Rodgers, QB, Packers ($9,300)

Rodgers is the most expensive QB available this week, which makes sense since he’s probably the best QB in the NFL. This week, however, you can do better. Sure Rodgers typically kills it at home, but he’s going against the Seahawks “Legion of Boom” secondary. Seattle’s D didn’t look formidable last week when they gave up 34 points to the Rams, but that only means CB Richard Sherman and S Earl Thomas will be back with a vengeance.

Rodgers won’t necessarily bomb, but for that money you can get a QB with a better matchup and spend on receivers or running backs.

Andrew Luck, QB, Colts ($8,900)

It’s not often both Rodgers and Luck make a list like this, but this isn’t the week to spend big at QB. Luck was hounded by Bills defenders’ blitzes, and the Jets figure to do the same. New York’s D-line is comparable to Buffalo’s, and their secondary is even better. Darrelle Revis will shut down either T.Y. Hilton (if he plays) or Andre Johnson. Perhaps they’ll even deploy him on Donte Moncrief if Hilton is out. CB Antonio Cromartie won’t play, but the Jets actually have depth in the secondary this season.

It won’t be easy for the Colts to move the ball, and Luck will probably be decent, but not worth the strain on your budget.

Colts' Coach, QB Expecting To Face More Blitzes

Alfred Morris, RB, Redskins ($7,300)

Morris had a big game last week vs. Miami, which was expected to have a punishing defense. Don’t try your luck twice though, because the St. Louis defensive line is a unit that might give the Avengers a fight. The focus on St. Louis’ pass rush is well-deserved, but they are excellent against the run too. Second-year DT Aaron Donald causes havoc no matter what an offense does, and they added DT Nick Fairley this offseason to bolster that part of their D. Holding Marshawn Lynch to 73 yards isn’t easy, but they did it in Week 1.

Brandon Marshall, WR, Jets ($7,400)

Marshall looked extremely impressive in Week 1 by dominating a top-notch CB, Cleveland’s Joe Haden. This week will not be the same for Marshall though, because he’ll be matched up with the much bigger Vontae Davis. The Colts CB can muscle up better vs. Marshall, and even though Marshall is capable of getting the best of him, Davis is going to limit the upside. There are better plays, and don’t forget that you should never blindly trust Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Jimmy Graham, TE, Seahawks ($7,100)

Graham is fine, but for the money he costs, there are a slew of TEs who broke out last week and can keep it rolling. Why go with the expensive option when you can dial up Tyler Eifert ($5,900), Jordan Reed ($5,000) or Austin Seferian-Jenkins ($4,500)?
