Sunday night isn't just about the title-holders in the WWE as there is a high-profile family affair on the Night of Champions card as well.

Former Shield stablemates Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose will join forces with a mystery partner to battle the retooled Wyatt Family, which now consists of leader Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper and the hulking and intimidating Braun Strowman. These factions have been at odds for over two years, but the WWE changed the game up by introducing the 6-foot-8 strongman.

3 Reasons Charlotte Should End Nikki Bella's Reign At Night Of Champions

Reigns and Ambrose got the better of Wyatt and Harper at SummerSlam last month, but now that the new Superstar has been introduced to form a trio for the heels, the babyfaces will get some help heading into Night of Champions this Sunday from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

Here are five possible mystery partners to form Shield 2.0. To view this article in slideshow form, CLICK START at the top right of this page.

Projecting The Most Likely Outcomes For Seth Rollins At Night Of Champions

Honorable Mentions:. There has been some speculation that Kane's delayed return to WWE television could come to an end at Night of Champions, but with that being a fairly disappointing possibility, we'll leave it off the main countdown. Seth Rollins has also been tossed around due to his former Shield affiliation, but he is a heel and already has two matches that night.

5) Randy Orton

"The Viper" appears to be the obvious choice as he was seen conversing with Reigns and Ambrose two weeks ago on RAW before being attacked by The Wyatt Family after his match (see video above). There has been a lot of speculation about Orton's status as there are rumors that he will be the third guy, but there are also murmurs that he's being written off of television to take some time off.

Orton was held off of RAW, which could either lead to his return at Night of Champions or lay credence to the rumors that he was written out of T.V. With the WWE making a big deal out of the mystery partner, it would be a bit odd for it to be someone who is already on the main roster.

Probability: Good

4) Baron Corbin or Other NXT Members

There was a rumor that Corbin could make his main roster debut by siding with Ambrose and Reigns, though they were recently shot down by Dave Meltzer, according to Wrestilngheadlines.com. It all started when a graphic featuring the former Hounds of Justice members and Corbin standing together surfaced, but it proved to be a fake image.

Still, the WWE could use this opportunity as a platform to thrust Corbin or another member of NXT onto the main roster as it has been calling up NXT stars regularly as of late.

Probability: Unlikely

3) Chris Jericho

"Y2J's" name has popped up in speculation, mostly due to his feud with Bray Wyatt in 2014 and his matches against him at WWE Live Events. Jericho has a limited-appearances deal, but has also made it clear that he doesn't want to be on television unless it's for something meaningful.

Jericho has called himself the "anti-Brock Lesnar" in the sense that he doesn't work television or pay-per-views, but appears on house shows regularly while "The Beast" does the opposite. The first ever Undisputed Champion hasn't been on television in a while, and it's unknown how he would feel about making a one-off appearance on pay-per-view and the WWE Network.

Probability: Fair

2) Erick Rowan

Rowan was a member of the original Wyatt Family, but he was "set free" with Harper late last year and went off on his own. Rowan briefly reunited with Harper to form a new tag team, but it was short-lived when he suffered a biceps injury. Rowan was nowhere to be found when Wyatt reunited with Harper, and his absence could be what led to Strowman being used as a new member.

There is a possibility that Rowan could return from his torn bicep as a babyface to seek revenge on his old stable for replacing him. It's uncertain, however, due to his timetable for a return being unclear. Due to the injury element, it could be a long shot to occur.

Probability: Unlikely

1) The Rock

The internet is abuzz with speculation that The Rock may come back to help his cousin Reigns and his partner Ambrose in their war against the Wyatt Family and it remains a possibility due to his schedule being open, according to PWMania. The report also indicates that it may not come to fruition because "The People's Champion" usually likes to show up to build toward something meaningful in the future, and if it's just as a mystery partner role, he may not be willing to do it.

Despite that fact, The Rock did return at the Royal Rumble in January to help Reigns, so it could be a way to build off of that feud. Reigns also teased The Rock would appear at SummerSlam, something that ultimately didn't come to fruition. Perhaps the WWE was saving "The Brahma Bull" for this month's show as Texas will be electric if he shows up to help the faces.

Probability: Great
