The New York Police Department indeed took down the wrong guy when they messed with James Blake.

Embarrassment has continued to follow the police force since a mistaken arrest of Blake last week -- the latest being the identification of the man the NYPD had been seeking, based on a photograph it received of a suspect in a credit card fraud scheme.

The man police sought is Sean Satha, an Australian sunglass designer who works for Local Supply sunglass company, according to dailykos.com.

"Not only did Sean Satha have nothing to do with the identity theft, he wasn't even on the continent when the NYPD was armed with his photo and began looking for him in a midtown Manhattan hotel lobby, dailykos.com reported, adding a scathing commentary of the department.

James Blake Alleges To Be Victim Of Police Brutality

"The NYPD claims a company called GoButler gave (it) Sean Satha's photo, but (the NYPD now admits) that neither Sean Satha or James Blake had anything at all to do with this case of identity theft. Basically, this all confirms that the last agency you ever want investigating a case of identity theft is the NYPD -- which has clearly shown it will railroad every black man in sight in the name of solving a case."

TMZ originally posted a photo of Satha but was unable to identify him when it obtained the photo.

Blake has said that he wants the plainclothes officer who tackled him and handcuffed him, James Frascatore, to be fired.

Two other men who have filed lawsuits against Frascatore, spoke to CNN about their run-ins with Frascatore. One claims he was beaten outside his home. The other claims to have been punched in the mouth three times, had his head banged into the hood of the car and the string on his shorts loosened so that they dropped to his ankles.
