Tonight at 9:00 p.m. ET WBC super middleweight champion Adonis Stevenson will return to the ring to make his second title defense of 2015 against Tommy Karpency in a Friday Night Lights Out broadcast under the Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) banner. Watch the fight on Spike TV, or live stream it free by clicking this link.

Stevenson is fighting in his second fight for the PBC in what will be his third straight soft matchup. Karpency (25-4-1, 14 KO) is on a four-fight winning streak, but the wins are against unknown competition. In his last fight vs. a name opponent, Karpency was knocked out by Andrzej Fonfara, who gave Stevenson a hard fight and knocked him down in a 2014 bout. Karpency dropped the bout prior to that as well against Nathan Cleverly. Stevenson is a -5,000 favorite per OddsShark.com to be the winner.

Boxing fans want Stevenson to fight WBA, IBF and WBO super middleweight champion Sergey Kovalev in a unification bout, but Stevenson is claiming promotional politics are mixing with Kovalev's reluctance to kill that fight.

"Kovalev had a purse bid to fight me and he's scared. He's scared to fight me because with the purse bid he backed away and backed off. He can talk and you can hear him talking, but very soon he has to go in the ring with me and I will knock him out," Stevenson told ESPN.

Prediction: Stevenson def. Karpency by TKO (Round 5)

On the undercard, Errol Spence Jr. (17-0, 14 KO), a rising welterweight and protégé of Floyd Mayweather Jr., will also be in action against Chris van Heerden (23-1-1, 12 KO). Spence is also a big favorite to win, and possibly set up a much bigger fight for himself going forward. Mayweather has mentioned Spence as a suitable opponent for unbeaten Keith "One-Time" Thurman, although Thurman has rejected Spence as too green to be ready for a fight like that.

Prediction: Spence def. van Heerden by KO (Round 6)
