UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey’s acting career is about to be kicked up a notch. Rousey is slated to star in a remake of Patrick Swayze’s action classic “Road House,” a step above her recent supporting roles in The Fast and the Furious, The Expendables and Entourage films.

Upon the announcement, Rousey took to Twitter to promise to do the late Swayze proud with this new film.

Rousey isn’t taking the role lightly, according to Variety. She reportedly reached out to Swayze’s widow and made sure she had her permission before accepting the role. Before undertaking this major role, Rousey must first deal with her day job -- fighting in the UFC. Rousey is slated to take on “The Preacher’s Daughter” Holly Holm, who is 9-0 as a mixed martial artist, and also known as one of the best women’s boxers ever.

That fight will happen on Nov. 14 in Melbourne, Australia at the Etihad, a 70,000-seat stadium. Holm is taking the fight very seriously, and has been training with suspended former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon “Bones” Jones, who was considered the top pound-for-pound fighter in the UFC before being hit with an indefinite suspension.
