The Browns mysteriously suspended offensive line coach Andy Moeller earlier this week for an “incident,” which has turned out to be a frightening instance of domestic violence. According to a 911 call released by TMZ, Moeller’s fiancée claims she was beaten and strangled.

"[Andy] just tried to strangle and beat me. I'm leaving the premises and I gotta get out of here quickly,” the woman said. When she identified Moeller as her fiancé she added, “Not anymore though.”

The incident allegedly stemmed from an argument that happened when the woman was talking to her son, and Moeller told her to “shut up.” Moeller’s fiancée said she told him repeatedly not to hurt her. On the lengthy call she also said it was not the first time Moeller had been violent with her.

"I hate to say that, but, yeah, sure,” the woman responded when asked if there had ever been previous violence. "I hate to do this to him, but I'm glad I made it out of there in time."

As of now the incident is still being investigated, but Moeller was never arrested. Despite the NFL’s persistent problems with domestic violence, the Browns have not let Moeller go. Instead, he is suspended indefinitely according to a statement released by the team.

"Over the weekend, Andy was involved in an incident, involving allegations that we take very seriously," the team's release stated. "We have followed our internal protocol, determining that right now it is best for the team and for Andy to take time away from the organization to focus on his personal matters. We are going to respect the process of investigation on this personal matter and will have no further comment at this time."
