With Labor Day bringing an end to the summer, things are only heating up in the WWE as Monday Night RAW emanates live from the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Md.
5 Best Moments In WWE This Summer
With just 13 nights until Night of Champions, the storylines are sure to continue to churn toward the big event, while more matches are likely to be announced.
Here are five things to watch for this week on the WWE's flagship show as the summer comes to a close.
3 Reasons Sting Should Defeat Seth Rollins At Night Of Champions
1) Sting Returns
For the third straight week, Sting is set to appear on RAW as he builds toward his clash with Seth Rollins at Night of Champions. "The Vigilante" wasn't orginally advertised for this week's flagship show, but plans changed on Thursday, according to Wrestlingheadlines.com. It hasn't been revealed how the WWE will utilize the former WCW and TNA icon, but he will appear once again.
2) Double Duty
It was revealed last week that not only will Rollins face Sting for the richest prize in the game, but he'll also take on John Cena at Night of Champions with his United States Championship on the line. "The Architect" is set to pull double duty and his storylines with Sting and the "Cenation" leader will continue this week as he looks to continue his historic reign with both belts.
3) Divas Revolution
Charlotte broke away from the pack of her fellow Divas last week by becoming the No. 1 contender for the Divas Championship against Nikki Bella. The match was originally slated for Night of Champions, but the WWE started a storyline on SmackDown where Charlotte began to campaign for her title shot to be moved up. With Bella just six days away from tying the record for longest reign, the bout could occur as soon as this week.
4) Corporate Comeback
Kane hasn't been seen on WWE television in quite some time, but there are plans for him to return in Baltimore, according to Wrestlingheadlines.com. While Kane will definitely be at the Royal Farms Arena, there hasn't been confirmation that he'll appear on television. However, there is said to be something in the works for him creatively.
5) Shield 2.0
The WWE announced that Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns will team up with a mystery partner to take on The Wyatt Family trio at Night of Champions. There have been rumors surfacing that the third partner for the former Shield stablemates will be NXT Superstar Baron Corbin, but nothing is confirmed. This week, there may be more to the revelation.
