No one is safe from the wrath of U.S. Presidential candidate Donald Trump -- not even six-time NBA champion Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

Trump lashed out at the former Bucks and Lakers legend, saying he doesn't "have a clue what has to be done to make this country great again" after Abdul-Jabbar voiced his displeasure with the candidate running for president, according to MSN.

The rivalry began when the NBA Hall of Famer wrote a piece for the Washington Post, criticizing Trump for being a "bully." The article also stated that Trump attacks journalists' First Amendment rights by launching personal attacks on them and playing coy when it comes to issues with immigration and other topics rather than offering valid answers.

Abdul-Jabbar also went as far as to say that Trump has a "vendetta" against the media and has alienated women by calling them "fat pigs" and other disparaging remarks.

The six-time NBA Most Valuable Player posted a scathing response he received for his article from Trump on his Facebook page:

"Kareem -

Now I know why the press always treated you so badly -- they couldn't stand you. The fact is that you don't have a clue about life and what has to be done to make America great again!

Best wishes

Donald Trump"

Along with the image of Trump's response, Abdul-Jabbar offered a rebuttal of his own.

"This note from Donald Trump in response to my editorial is the best, though inelegant, support for my claims," Abdul-Jabbar wrote. "Here again he attacks a journalist who disagrees with him, not by disputing the points made but by hurling schoolyard insults such as 'nobody likes you.' But if you look behind the nasty invective, you find the assault still remains against the Constitution in an effort to silence the press through intimidation."

Trump, a member of the Republican Party, has received a lot of backlash for his thoughts on immigration and women since he announced his candidacy for president and Abdul-Jabbar is just the latest person to speak out against him.
