It's the Battle of New York as the Jets and Giants clash in the 2015 Snoopy Bowl on Saturday.

Gang Green looks to improve to 2-1 on the preseason and to win its second straight exhibition game, while Big Blue enters play with the same goals. The Jets toppled the Falcons 30-22 at home last Friday. The Giants, meanwhile, overcame the Jaguars, 22-12, at home the following day.

Jets Storylines To Watch

--The Jets first-team offense hasn't looked great thus far in the preseason. Ryan Fitzpatrick has been thrust into the starter's role in the wake of Geno Smith's broken jaw, and Gang Green will get an extended look at him this week.

Fitzpatrick only played one series in Week 1 and then failed to get a first down against the Falcons last week until Atlanta pulled its first team defense. He'll look to proove himself Saturday night in the Snoopy Bowl.

--While the Jets offense was somewhat expected to struggle, it's not as big of a concern as their much-lauded defense's issues. The first-team defense has given up three touchdowns and one field goal in four possesions against starters over the last two weeks and couldn't contain Matt Ryan last week.

Giants Storylines To Watch

--The injury bug has bit Big Blue a lot this offseason, especially at safety. With four of their depth safeties suffering season-ending injuries and Landon Collins (knee) out since a preseason Week 1 knee ailment, Brandon Meriweather will look to prove his worth this week.

Meriweather has had his issues in the past with fines and suspensions stemming from dangerous helmet-to-helmet hits, but Big Blue took a low-risk chance on him by signing him to a deal with no guaranteed money.

--On the offensive side of the ball, Eli Manning will look to avoid the struggles he's had through the first two weeks. The franchise quarterback, who enters 2015 on the final year of his contract, is 8-for-22 for 68 yards thus far in the preseason.

A lot of the focus for the Giants in recent years has been on improving the offensive line as Geoff Schwartz looks to stay healthy and 2015 first-round pick (No. 9) Ereck Flowers looks to live up to the hype.
