Russell Wilson has proven himself to be a man who believes in a greater power. That belief, however, isn't restricted to his spirituality.

The Seahawks quarterback claims a product he endorses, called "Reliant Recovery Water" helped him recover quickly from a vicious hit from Packers linebacker Clay Matthews, Pro Football Talk reported, based on a Rolling Stone feature article.

Russell Wilson's ex-wife may soon join Ciara's ex in creating havoc for the couple

"Wilson is an investor in Reliant Recovery Water, a $3-per-bottle concoction with nanobubbles and electrolytes that purportedly "helps people recover quickly from workouts and, according to Wilson, injury," Rolling Stone reported. "He mentions a teammate whose knee healed miraculously, and then he shares his own testimonial.

"I banged my head during the Packers game in the playoffs, and the next day I was fine," says Wilson. "It was the water."

Rumors circulating that Russell Wilson and Ciara have applied for a marriage license

According to Rolling Stone, Wilson's agent interjected at that moment in the interview, saying, "Well, we're not saying we have real medical proof."

"I know it works." Wilson told the magazine, brushing aside his agent's comment. "Soon you're going to be able to order it straight from Amazon."

Rolling Stone added that Wilson spoke of the product with "an evangelist's zeal."

Pro Football Talk commented that that portion of the article made Wilson "sound more like a snake oil salesman."

PFT added that after the hit Wilson took in the game, Fox sideline reported Erin Andrews reported that team doctors "talked to him for all of two seconds" before letting him go back in the game.

The issue of concussion protocol and whether the Seahawks followed it in that instance would have been a bigger story, Pro Football Talk reported, were it not for a certain other topic generating headlines -- Deflategate.

Of course, without Deflategate, Recovery Water might have received its big marketing break -- and debate now would exist about its legitimacy.
