Steve Nash and the Suns will have a reunion on Oct. 30 when Phoenix inducts him as the 14th member of its Ring of Honor.

The Suns will honor Nash during halftime of their game against the Trail Blazers, according to ESPN.

Nash was a two-time NBA MVP during his tenure in Phoenix, and he was an eight-time All-Star during his illustrious career -- six of those appearances came as a member of the Suns. Nash helped lead the 2004-05 Suns team to a franchise-record 62-20 mark, in what was the first of three straight first place finishes for Phoenix.

The point guard is the Suns' all-time record holder in assists (6,997), three-point field goals (1,051) and free throw percentage (.907), and he also ranks third in games played (744).

While Nash will bring great memories with him on Oct. 30, the franchise is coming in off of a forgettable 2014-15 season that saw it finish 39-43 and miss the playoffs for the fifth straight year.

Nash had two separate stints with Phoenix, beginning his career with it from 1996-98 and re-joining the Suns from 2004-2012 after a stint with the Mavericks from 1998-2004. The Suns dealt Nash to the Lakers in a sign and trade in 2012 and after a few injury-riddled seasons, he called it a career this past March.

"The greatest gift has been to be completely immersed in my passion and striving for something I loved so much -- visualizing a ladder, climbing up to my heroes," Nash wrote on the Players' Tribune. "The obsession became my best friend. I talked to her, cherished her, fought with her and got knocked on my ass by her.

"And that is what I'm most thankful for in my career. In my entire life, in some ways. Obviously, I value my kids and my family more than the game, but in some ways having this friend -- this ever-present pursuit -- has made me who I am, taught me and tested me, and given me a mission that feels irreplaceable. I am so thankful. I've learned so many invaluable lessons about myself and about life. And of course I still have so much to learn. Another incredible gift."

Nash, 41, will get another gift on Oct. 30 after finishing his career with an average of 14.3 points, and 8.5 assists per game.
