Celebrities have always been a big part of "The Biggest Party of the Summer" and this Sunday won't be any different when the WWE presents SummerSlam.

Though the company has broken the streak of six straight years of broadcasting its annual August spectacle from the celebrity haven of Los Angeles, this year's edition has no shortage of star power at the Barclays Center in New York City, where glitz and glamour will be on full display.

10 Booking Decisions We Want To See At SummerSlam

Anything can happen and anyone can show up at any given time at a WWE event, but the company already has two big names locked down for SummerSlam. "Arrow" star Stephen Amell is set to wrestle an actual match when he teams up with Neville (who uses the Red Arrow finishing maneuver) to do battle with Stardust and King Barrett.

Former "Daily Show" host John Stewart will also serve as the master of ceremonies for SummerSlam.

The WWE's second biggest event has a rich history of celebrity involvement since its inception in 1988 and here are the top five celebrity cameos of all-time.

5) Leslie Nielsen

The late comedian was a big part of SummerSlam 1994, which emanated from the United Center in Chicago, as he went on a quest to find The Undertaker. Throughout the night, WWE cameras caught up with Nielsen as he attempted to hunt down the "Demon from Death Valley," who was returning from hiatus. The evening featured vignettes of Nielsen's classic comedic gift and eventually he found a closed suitcase and stated that the case was closed.

4) Jesse "The Body" Ventura

While he's an ex-wrestler and he took part in the early days of SummerSlam, Ventura came "home" when "The Greatest Party of the Summer" occurred in Minnesota in 1999. Ventura, then governor of Minnesota, cut a promo about being proud to be a wrestler and proud to be at SummerSlam.

Ventura then was the referee when "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Triple H and Mick Foley clashed in a Triple Threat Match in the main event.

3) Walter Payton

The 1994 SummerSlam was a popular time for celebrities as the late former Bears running back guided Razor Ramon to the ring for his Intercontinental Championship bout with Diesel. The Super Bowl XX champion even got involved physically as he had a tug-of-war with "Big Daddy Cool's" corner man Shawn Michaels, ripping the belt away from him. Ramon ended up winning the Intercontinental Championship with Payton by his side.

2) Lennox Lewis

The last undisputed world heavyweight champion of boxing was involved in one of the greatest main events in SummerSlam history at the 1992 event from Wembley Stadium in London. Lewis, who holds British and Canadian dual citizenship, was in the corner of "The British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith as he looked to wrest the Intercontinental Championship away from his brother-in-law Bret "Hitman" Hart.

Lewis watched on as Bulldog pinned Hart to the mat to win the Intercontinental Championship in a classic encounter that spanned over 25 minutes.

1) Ronda Rousey

Prior to shocking the world at WrestleMania 31, the reigning UFC women's bantamweight champion made her presence felt at SummerSlam last year. With the show emanating from Los Angeles' Staples Center for the sixth straight year, "Rowdy" helped Stephanie McMahon complete the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge after "The Billionaire Princess" defeated Brie Bella.
