The WWE released its first behind-the-scenes glimpse of Sting: Into the Light.

The trailer for the DVD and Blu-ray release, which is set to hit stores on Oct. 13, gives insight into what the volume will entail and also offers a look into interviews he conducted to chronicle his career.

"An icon shrouded in mystery," the voiceover on the trailer says. "A vigilante at home in the darkness. The time has come to follow Sting into the light."

Sting also comments on his big match against Ric Flair, him deciding to stay in the WCW and his desire to compete at WrestleMania.

9 Worst Events In SummerSlam History

"Vince [McMahon] wanted me more to undermine WCW than he wanted me as a talent," Sting says.

He later adds: "I want to be able to say that I did wrestle at WrestleMania."

The DVD and Blu-ray offering is the latest step the WWE has taken in its partnership with "The Vigilante," which began last fall. The WWE tried for many years to lure Sting over from WCW, but even after Ted Turner's company folded in 2001, he stayed away from McMahon's organization. Sting then carved out a Hall of Fame career with TNA before finally joining the WWE last autumn.

Sting made his WWE debut at the Survivor Series last November, interfering in the main event between Team [John] Cena and Team Authority to help the babyfaces win the match. He then made sporadic appearances before wrestling his first -- and thus far only match -- at WrestleMania 31.

The six-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion fell at the hands of Triple H at the "Show of Shows" on March 31 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. The loss led to a lot of mixed reviews from fans, but there is hope that he'll compete in at least one more match.

There were a lot of rumors that Sting would team up with Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose at SummerSlam this Sunday night in Brooklyn, but thus far that hasn't been in the cards. The former Shield members are facing Luke Harper and Erick Rowan in a standard tag match.

The upcoming DVD and Blu-ray will feature a documentary that covers the span of Sting's WCW career and then his foray into the WWE. There will also be a special "Road to WrestleMania 31" chapter that chronicles his journey to the first bout of his WWE career.

The release will also contain Sting's most memorable matches as well as exclusive interviews with Triple H, Eric Bischoff, Lex Luger, Rick Steiner, Jim Ross, Hulk Hogan and others.

"Get a glimpse into the man behind the black and white paint with 'Sting: Into the Light,'" the synopsis reads, according to WrestlingDVDNews.com. "Go behind the scenes with "The Vigilante" himself as he prepares to step into a WWE ring for the first time ever on the Grandest Stage of Them All... WrestleMania. Since 1985, Sting has been the one man who never crossed over into WWE, until now!"
