Tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET on NBC the NFL preseason kicks off with Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers, one of last season's most explosive offenses, taking on the Minnesota Vikings and the returning Adrian Peterson in the Hall of Fame game. All eyes will be on Peterson, who hasn't played since Week 1 of the 2014 regular season, but the Vikings coaching staff will likely be focused on second-year quarterback Teddy Bridgewater.

Peterson will remain the focal point of Minnesota's offense, but Bridgewater, who somehow lasted until the final pick of the first round in the 2014 draft is the future. The Vikings invested in help for him this offseason by trading for wide receiver Mike Wallace, one of the highest-paid receivers in football. Wallace joins a promising young core that already included Charles Johnson, Cordarrelle Patterson, and shifty slot pass-catcher Jarius Wright.

Pittsburgh will be trying to pick off where they left off in 2014, which was the second-most prolific passing game in terms of yardage. Ben Roethlisberger had his finest season as a pro, setting career highs in attempts (608) and yards (4,952) and tying a career-high for touchdown passes (32).

He will return his lethal receiving corps featuring Antonio Brown, Martavis Bryant and Markus Wheaton. Brown is the leader of the group, and he led the league in receptions (129) and yards (1,698), while checking in at No. 2 in touchdowns (13) and third in yards per game (106.1).
