The WWE has released major updates for the upcoming NXT Takeover: Brooklyn event, which emanates from the Barclays Center on the eve of SummerSlam.
WWE To Change Paige's Stable Name Due To Adult Website
The WWE's future will be on full display in New York City on Aug. 22 in the same building that will host SummerSlam the following night.
The company revealed that the NXT Championship bout between Finn Balor and Kevin Owens, which is a highly-anticipated rematch of their July 4 clash in Tokyo, will now be a Ladder Match.
Spoiler: Two New Matches Added To WWE SummerSlam
There are also two other title matches as Blake and Murphy's NXT Tag Team Championships hang in the balance against The Vaudevillians while Sasha Banks will put her NXT Women's Championship on the line against Bayley.
It's worth noting that Bayley vs. Becky Lynch in a No. 1 contender's match was taped for next week's NXT episode to determine who would face Banks, but Triple H spoiled the results in a Q&A by announcing that Bayley will be in the match.
It's likely that Banks will drop the title now that she is on the main roster in the Team B.A.D. (Beautiful & Dangerous) stable with Naomi and Tamina, but it remains to be seen.
In another big announcement, Apollo Crews (formerly known as Uhaa Nation) will make his debut and be in action in Brooklyn.
Rounding out the card, Jushin "Thunder" Liger will clash with Tyler Breeze while Samoa Joe will battle Baron Corbin one-on-one.
The WWE has also advertised that the injured Hideo Itami will make an appearance.
