The Swiss Superman won't allow Vince McMahon's disparaging comments to be his kryptonite.

John Cena Has Surgery To Repair Broken Nose, Scratched From RAW?

Cesaro spoke with WWE.com and he was asked to address the comments that Vince McMahon made on "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's WWE Network podcast in December.

McMahon said that Cesaro doesn't connect with audiences and he also added that no one in the current crop of up-and-coming Superstars have reached for the "brass ring."

5 Possible Outcomes To Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam

Cesaro was asked to address these comments and he said that they were "outlandish."

"The infamous podcast. You can't really reason or explain something, because once people get a certain impression, that's really hard to change," Cesaro said. "With anything, it's kind of similar here, in that the only way to respond to such an outlandish comment is to prove it wrong, and that's what I'm doing. Usually when people ask me about [the podcast], the way I respond is that two months and 22 days after that podcast, me and Tyson Kidd won the WWE Tag Team Championships. That's my response to that. And that's a pretty good response."

Cesaro and Kidd formed a formidable duo, but the Swiss Superman is now on his own due to Kidd suffering a legitimate and very serious neck injury in a match with Samoa Joe.

Cesaro said he was really proud about successfully defending the Tag Team Championships with Kidd at WrestleMania and that they were the best tag team ever. He also added that their friendship was very important to him.

The former United States Champion said he believes he is grabbing the brass ring.

"To me, this is how I grab the brass ring," Cesaro said. "This is what I do. I wrestle. And I wrestle my heart out. That's what I leave in the ring every single night. That's my heart. Fighting spirit. If you like it, you like it. That's what I do."

Cesaro is currently engaged in a feud with Kevin Owens, who is the former NXT Champion and was just engaged in a fantastic feud with John Cena that spanned most of the summer.

The two could be headed for a bout at SummerSlam on Aug. 23 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn and Owens recently told Michael Cole in an in-character interview that Cesaro should watch his back and stop taking his spotlight away.

"Well, my issues are simple, I just don't want Cesaro to take my spotlight," Owens said, "and I feel like that's exactly what's been happening. Ever since he came out on RAW to answer that open challenge from John Cena, while I'm in the middle of my chase for the U.S. title, he comes out and just because he comes pretty close to beating John Cena, he thinks now that he's some sort of big shot."

While the Swiss Superman may not have grabbed the brass ring in Vince McMahon's eyes, his feud with Owens has a lot of potential to drop the collective jaws in the WWE Universe.
