Kevin Owens didn't mince words when he was addressing his recent storyline with Cesaro, saying the "Swiss Superman" needs to watch his back.

Since moving on from John Cena, Owens has set his sights on Cesaro and their paths could very well collide at SummerSlam on Aug. 23 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Owens sat down with Michael Cole in his weekly interview segment and the Cole brought up the rough month the former NXT Champion has been having after losing his title to Finn Balor on July 4 then failing to capture the United States Championship from Cena at Battleground on July 19.

Cole asked Owens why he's decided to take his anger over his struggles out on the commentary team in recent weeks.

"I've watched RAW for years," Owens said. "And I've actually been on commentary with you before on RAW, so I've heard your commentary and I guess I'm trying to just keep you in line and make sure you're paying attention to the match and not plugging Total Divas or something. And also your commentary is very biased."

He continued: " I don't know if you've ever realized that. ...So on Monday John Cena broke his nose, you remember? I know you remember because when he did you screamed at the top of your lungs how tough John Cena was about 15 times because he finished that match. But, did you know that in my first night at NXT my opponent broke my nose? He palm-struck me so hard and yet I don't remember you ever coming up to me saying how tough I was."

Owens also talked about his issues with Cesaro and how it all came about.

"Well, my issues are simple, I just don't want Cesaro to take my spotlight," Owens said, "and I feel like that's exactly what's been happening. Ever since he came out on RAW to answer that open challenge from John Cena, while I'm in the middle of my chase for the U.S. title, he comes out and just because he comes pretty close to beating John Cena, he thinks now that he's some sort of big shot."

Owens added: "And the WWE Universe is clamoring for him to get the credit that he deserves. I deserve credit. He took John Cena to the limit. I beat John Cena -- no one will ever take that away from me -- Cesaro didn't. I am the one the WWE Universe should be clamoring for, not Cesaro because you know what? What was it Mr. McMahon said in that podcast? Cesaro just doesn't connect. He doesn't have it, but I do, so Cesaro just needs to stay out of my business and everything will be fine."

Lastly, Owens delivered a threat to Cesaro and teased a collision for Thursday's SmackDown.

"After what he did on Monday, sticking his nose in my business," Owens said, "when he really had nothing to do with it, Cesaro should probably watch his back on SmackDown. Is that a threat? I don't know. Maybe it is."
