If the Detroit Tigers decide to become sellers at the MLB trade deadline and deal ace left-hander David Price, they will find a hot market for him. According to reports, the New York Yankees, Toronto Blue Jays and Los Angeles Dodgers are all interested in acquiring the former Cy Young winner.
The #Dodgers, #Yankees and #BlueJays poised to have an all-out bidding war of prospects for #Tigers David Price, once they get the go-ahead.

The Dodgers are a surprising bidder at the moment, having just pulled off a deal for Miami Marlins right-hander Mat Latos to strengthen their rotation. They already have three-time Cy Young winner Clayton Kershaw heading up the rotation, and Zack Greinke behind him.
The Yankees make sense because they are seven games ahead of the Baltimore Orioles in the American League East, but have injury concerns near the top of their rotation. Masahiro Tanaka is a constant threat to re-injure his UCL and require Tommy John surgery, Michael Pineda has been fragile throughout his young career, and CC Sabathia is well past his prime despite still pulling in an ace’s salary. It’s also been reported that the Yankees are loathe to give up any of their top four prospects, likely ruling out a trade for one of the best pitchers in baseball, even if he’s a rental.
The Jays have the biggest need. They are eight games back of the Yankees, and in fourth place in the AL East, but they just went all in for a playoff run by shipping several prospects and Jose Reyes to the Colorado Rockies for Troy Tulowitzki. While Toronto’s AL-best lineup improved dramatically, they hadn’t addressed the glaring hole atop their rotation. Price would fill that hole nicely, but they’d have to further deplete their farm system with four teams ahead of them for a wildcard spot.
Meanwhile, Price has dazzled in his first full season as a Tiger, going 9-4 with a 2.53 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, and 8.51 K/9.
