Tonight at 8 p.m. ET, the Seattle Mariners (42-51) and Detroit Tigers (46-46) play the second contest of a four-game series live from Comerica Park in Detroit.

Seattle enters on a two-match skid as it continues a seven-game road trip while Detroit resumes a seven-match homestand and halted a two-game slide last time out.

The Tigers topped the Mariners 5-4 on Monday in the series-opener.

Taijuan Walker (7-7, 4.84 ERA) toes the rubber for Seattle while Detroit counters with Shane Greene, who is 4-7 with a 6.32 ERA thus far this season.

Ian Kinsler hit a pair of homers for the Tigers in Monday's win and drove in three of the clubs five runs. Kinsler is hitting .275 on the campaign with five homers and 42 RBI.

Robinson Cano launched his ninth round-tripper of the season in the loss for the Mariners. The second baseman is hitting just .255 on the season.

Seattle's offense has been paced by Nelson Cruz, who has the club lead in batting average (.301), homers (21) and RBI (53).

In the standings, Seattle enters in fifth place in the American League West, 10.5 games behind the first-place Los Angeles Angels and 8.5 games back in the wild-card hunt. Detroit is in third place in the AL Central, 9.5 games behind the division-leading Kansas City Royals and are four games out of a wild-card spot.
