Tonight at 10:00 p.m. ET on Showtime Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. will begin his road back to boxing prominence when he faces off against Marcos Reyes in El Paso, Texas in a fight card that can be live streamed by clicking this link.

Chavez Jr. is trying to re-establish himself as a top-flight star in boxing, but his climb will be a long one. Chavez Jr. has lost two of his last four fights-some would say he was gifted a decision in his first fight vs. Brian Vera-and in that time he has failed a drug test and struggled to make weight.

Chavez Jr. hired a new trainer for this fight, Robert Garcia, but even Garcia failed to help Chavez Jr. make weight. He weighed in at 170.8 pounds, and had to cut a side deal with Reyes to ensure the fight would remain on. Before the first Vera fight, Chavez Jr. was 4.5 pounds overweight and he was knocked out by Andrzej Fonfara at a weight class too big for him because he was having problems getting back to super middleweight.

"I think 168 is a good weight class for me," Chavez Jr. said a few days before weigh-in. "Going into my last fight I had an extended period of time off, and I didn't know how my body would respond [to making weight]."

Chavez Jr. remains a heavy favorite to beat Reyes (-1,000), however. Reyes has fought at junior middleweight and middleweight for much of his career, and does not have any name opponents on his resume.

Prediction: Chavez Jr. def. Reyes by TKO (Round 10)
