Today at 4:00 p.m. ET Premier Boxing Champions returns to CBS with a doubleheader featuring Irish star Carl Frampton taking on Alejandro Gonzalez Jr. in a 122-pound fight. In the co-feature, popular Mexican-American heavyweight Chris Arreola will face Frederic Kassi in a bout that may land the winner a chance to face WBC champion Deontay Wilder. Frampton, undefeated at 20-0-0 with a 70 percent knockout rate is making his debut in the United States on the heels of Conor McGregor's stunning win in the UFC in Las Vegas last Saturday. His fan base is rabid; according to ESPN a temporary stadium seating 16,000 was constructed for his second bout vs. Kiko Martinez. Frampton knows that success in the United States is essential to his growth as a worldwide brand.

"It's important to be in the States," Frampton said. "It's important to create a legacy. I want to travel. I want to fight in big arenas all over the world, and America is the place to be."

His opponent is unlikely to just roll over for Frampton because it's his big stateside debut. Gonzlez Jr. is 25-1-2 in his young career, and he's only 22 years old. That is a lot of experience for a very young fighter, and he should provide a good test for Frampton.

Prediction: Frampton def. Gonzalez Jr. by TKO (Round 9)

Do not be surprised if Arreola vs. Kassi steals the show however. Kassi is not necessarily the most engaging fighter, but Arreola rarely fails to make a boxing match a brawl. He will probably have to chase Kassi down throughout the fight, but if he corners him, Arreola will be gunning for a knockout, and potentially a title shot vs. WBC champ Wilder. Arreola's PBC debut vs. Curtis Harper was one of the best in the young PBC's history. This fight may have less fireworks, but don't expect it to go the distance.

Prediction: Arreola def. Kassi by KO (Round 5)
