With football season almost underway we can all smell the grass, hear other fans cheering and we'll start to pick apart our favorite team's roster like its last night's dinner. But with every start to a new league year it can only mean one thing-fantasy football.

A few leagues have already had their mock drafts and there are some that are still keeping track of who is worthy of being taken first. But what if it's you who has the first overall pick in your league? Who do you take? An ideal candidate can get you points by receiving, passing and running for massive yards. And with so many players who are worthy of being selected first but if the wrong one is picked it can ruin an entire season.

Not to worry though, we've got your back when it comes to this and hopefully we can provide some insight to put your mind at ease. Here are five valid players worthy of being a No.1 overall fantasy football pick.

DeMarco Murray, Running Back Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles and head coach Chip Kelly run the ball a lot. Their offense is based on misdirection and requires the running back to get up field fast. This is perfect for Murray, who led the NFL in rushing last year with 1,845 yards. And with the team having four quarterbacks on its roster right now running the ball will be a good start to take the pressure off of the starter.

Antonio Brown, Wide Receiver Pittsburgh Steelers

Brown is one of the game's best wideouts right now and he's coming off a career year where he caught 129 passes. He's always a threat because of his ability to create plays after the catch. He returns punts and last year threw a touchdown pass. Brown is an explosion waiting to happen.

Marshawn Lynch, Running Back Seattle Seahawks

Beast Mode and Skittles is all it takes to get this guy going. He seems to get better and better with the passing years and he takes the bulk of the carries. Last year Lynch toted the ball 280 times during the regular season and 63 more in the playoffs. He definitely gets better as the game goes on and as it gets late into the year.

Aaron Rodgers, Quarterback Green Bay Packers

The league MVP should be doing a lot of discount double checks in 2015 as both of his targets, Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson are back. He is also a threat to run the ball when healthy and can gain points on the ground. A dual threat who is worthy of being a No.1 pick.

Le'Veon Bell, Running Back Pittsburgh Steelers

Bell may miss three games to start the year but that still shouldn't slow down his production rate. He is steadily making progress to being one of the best backs in the league. Last season he didn't fumble the ball at all while playing in every game. Bell's production as a tailback isn't limited to just carrying the ball like most backs he can catch it as well. Last year he caught 83 passes for 854 yards with three touchdowns. Bell is an ideal candidate of being a cornerstone for your 2015 fantasy football team.
