It's a big weekend for John Cena as he prepares to defend the United States Championship against Kevin Owens at Battleground this Sunday and he will also be featured in the movie Trainwreck, which comes out this Friday.

In the film, which is directed by Judd Apatow and stars Amy Schumer and Bill Hader, Cena plays a character named "Steven" and takes on the role of Schumer's boyfriend.

In the latest teaser for the movie, Apatow and Schumer praise Cena's work in the film while showing the United States Champion acting alongside Schumer in a hostile scene at the movie theatre.

"We had this idea that Amy would have a boyfriend," Apatow said. "And we thought, 'What kind of boyfriend can she be awful to where the audience won't be very mad at Amy?' So we thought, 'Well maybe he's just in incredible shape.'"

Added Schumer: "Yeah John Cena, he just...he blew our minds."

Cena discussed the process of filming the movie as well.

"When we did the theatre scene," Cena said, "all that improv stuff, it was a lot of fun."

Apatow and Schumer revealed that Cena came up with most of his lines off the top of his head.

"He said some of the strangest things I've ever heard," Apatow said while Schumer revealed she didn't write most of his lines.

"He just would open his mouth," Schumer said, "and it would fly out. And I'm like, 'What?'"

Cena also told fans what they can expect from the movie and implored them to go see the film this weekend when it hits theatres everywhere.

"So if you wanna see a funny 'R' rated comedy with some moments that you would never expect, just go see this movie," Cena said.

Cena, who is set to appear in the movie Sisters with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler next year, also filmed a sex scene in the movie with Schumer. Cena appeared on Access Hollywood last week and discussed that scene.

"There was talk about it being a closed set, but within 20 minutes there's two camera ops, two focus-pullers, three lighting guys, two sound guys, props," Cena said of the scene. "Catering was in there at one point. It became the most un-intimate environment possible - and that helped! There's nothing intimate or sexy about it - it's true comedy."

Trainwreck with Cena and Schumer hits the big screen this Friday.
