Tonight at 8:05 p.m. ET, the St. Louis Cardinals (56-32) and Pittsburgh Pirates (52-35) close out the first half on Sunday Night Baseball live from PNC Park in Pittsburgh.

St. Louis looks for a series split as it resumes an eight-game road trip having lost four of its last six while Pittsburgh seeks a series win and its third consecutive victory as it closes out a seven-match homestand.

The Cardinals took the opener of this series 4-1 on Thursday while the Pirates won 5-2 on Friday and followed it up with a 14-inning 6-5 victory on Saturday.

In the National League Central standings, St. Louis enters atop the division with baseball's best record while Pittsburgh is in second place, 3.5 games behind them.
