Tonight at 10:00 p.m. ET the main card of UFC 189 will get underway, which features featherweights Chad Mendes and Conor "The Notorious" McGregor battling for the UFC interim featherweight title in one of the most highly anticipated fights of the year. Fans can live stream it online by clicking this link. The Fox Sports 1 preliminaries get underway at 8:00 p.m. ET and can be seen online here, while the free prelims can be watched here.

McGregor is known for his trash talk, and some fighters believe it has elevated him past more deserving fighters. McGregor is a perfect 5-0 in the UFC, but the level of opposition in his fights so far has been called into question. Aldo is currently the top-ranked fighter in the company pound-for-pound, and Mendes is not far off.

Mendes' only two losses are at the hands of Aldo, and their second clash was a classic. Some folks even believe Aldo received home cooking for that bout, which was held in his native Brazil. "The last fight was razor close," said UFC commentator Joe Rogan.

"There's an argument that could be made that if they fought in America [Mendes] would have won that decision. There's also an argument to be made that if Jose Aldo didn't land that late punch after the first round that knocked Mendes down and had him very hurt, it could have been a very different fight."

Mendes is not the chatterbox that McGregor is, but he has not been shy about what he thinks he can do inside the octagon.

"Every single morning when I wake up. I'm excited. I think this is a great matchup for me. Conor is a tough guy, but, he is a guy that I know I can beat. He better pray that Aldo can get in there and fight because I am going to mess that dude up," Mendes said.

Prediction: McGregor def. Mendes by unanimous decision.
