Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Tim Tebow was once a risk to sign because of the "Tebowmania" that inevitably followed him, regardless of his performance. Tebow hasn't thrown an NFL regular season pass since 2012, so some of the fervor around him has died down, but his fans aren't gone.

According to CBS Sports, Tebow's Eagles jersey was the 16th-best seller in June on NFL Shop, topping the likes of Tony Romo of the Dallas Cowboys, and Ndamukong Suh, the biggest signing for the Miami Dolphins this offseason. CBS further reported that the only free agent to switch teams and sell more jerseys than Tebow is his teammate DeMarco Murray, who was recently asked for his thoughts on the controversial left-handed QB.

"A very hardworking guy," Murray said of Tebow. "He comes to work every day ready to compete and that's what you can expect from him."

NJ.com writer Eliot Shorr-Parks wrote during OTAs that he expects Tebow to make the Eagles Week 1 roster over incumbent third-stringer Matt Barkley, and recently doubled down on it. In an article for NJ.com Shorr-Parks posted a tweet from Sports Insights, pegging Tebow as a +180 shot to make the 53-man roster, which translates to a 31.25 percent chance.

Shorr-Parks wrote, "Giving Tebow a 31% chance of making the roster seems low, considering he is competing against a player in Matt Barkley that the team tried to trade this offseason."

Shorr-Parks called Tebow the most athletic of the quarterbacks on the Eagles' roster, but did note that accuracy remains a problem for him. "He has also, however, been fairly inconsistent, throwing passes into the ground and missing wide open targets."
