Two teams chasing the 2015 Gold Cup will do battle today in a match between the United States and Honduras. The tournament clash scheduled for 9:30 p.m. ET will be held at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas and can be live streamed here. Additional TV coverage can be found on Fox Sports 1.
What They're Saying
USA head coach Jurgen Klinsmann (via Yahoo Sports): "Even if we know that teams like Honduras, Costa Rica and Mexico all are very good teams and can also beat us, you've got to be on top of things. It's not going to be an open game like in a World Cup where you have the best teams in the world and they just go at you. In most of our games in the Gold Cup, it's going to be the opposite. They're going to defend first of all and then hope for a counter break or for a set piece to score against us.
Honduras head coach Jorge Luis Pinto (via CONCACAF): "They will see teams like the United States and Costa Rica to which we'll give a fight. There fundamental things that need to improve, having more confidence with the ball."
Tactical Preview
Player to Watch: Antony Lozano will be a lonely figure in Pinto's favored 5-4-1 system. Asked to provide impeccable hold-up play, Lozano will be the key for Honduras' counterattack style. In 62 appearances with Olimpia since 2013, the 22-year-old has 27 goals.
USA's Projected Lineup (4-4-2): Guzan; Johnson, Gonzalez, Brooks, Chandler; Beckerman, Zardes, Yedlin, Bradley; Altidore, Dempsey
Honduras' Projected Lineup (5-4-1): Escober; Figueroa, Figueroa, Garcia, Beckeles, Palacios; Acosta, Martinez, Mejia, Najar; Lozano
