Russell Wilson says it was the source of their first fight, but really it should be Tom Brady who harbors a grudge.

Complex.com reported on the Seattle Seahawks quarterback's appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" earlier in the week, in which part of the conversation focused on Wilson's girlfriend, pop singer Ciara.

Russell Wilson posts racy photo of Ciara for Woman Crush Wednesday on Instagram

Wilson told Kimmel that the couple, which has been an item since April, had its first fight after he discovered a "controversial" video Ciara made earlier in the year.

It seems that Ciara fancied herself as a Brady fan before Super Bowl XLIX - so much so that she posted a video declaring her allegiance to the New England Patriots quarterback.

Putting Russell Wilson on the trading block an option for the Seattle Seahawks?

Kimmel may have been trying to catch Wilson unprepared when he showed the video of her professed fandom. Wilson, however, said he had been made aware of the video.

"That was our first argument," Wilson said. "I saw that about a week ago."

He added that Ciara's explanation for the video made him even angrier.

"Her response was, the following week she was cheering for the Seattle Seahawks and that she was rooting for us the whole time," he said. "I don't know."

C'mon, Russell; you know.

If anyone has an ax to grind, it should be Brady. All sports fans know that you don't abandon your team just because of a budding relationship. Romances come and go, but team allegiance is forever. Switching teams as an adult is just bad form.

Hopefully, Wilson and Ciara can get past this crossroads in their relationship and get back to happier times, like last week when they both posted photos of each other for Man Crush Monday and Woman Crush Wednesday on Instagram.

In fact, Wilson's post caused a social media stir, as the photo of Ciara was considered racy.
