Tim Tebow has passed the torch of most controversial quarterback in the NFL to Johnny Manziel, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have eyes on him this offseason. Eagles cornerback Byron Maxwell said Tebow has helped him become better at catching the football-and before the laughter begins, it has nothing to do with interceptions.

"Tebow, he's really forcing me to learn how to catch the ball because he throws left-handed. So he's really making me a better catcher when I go and try to get some individual time with him," Maxwell said.

According to SB Nation's Bleeding Green Nation website, Maxwell hasn't had the opportunity to pick off Tebow much because the first-team defense rarely faces him. Maxwell did not want to pick sides in Philadelphia's multi-man quarterback battle royal, but he seemed most impressed with Sam Bradford, who can "really spin it."

Bradford was acquired this offseason in a bizarre trade that shipped quarterback Nick Foles to St. Louis along with a second-round pick.

Tebow is competing with Bradford, Mark Sanchez and Matt Barkley this summer for the starting job. Bradford is a clear frontrunner because of what it cost to acquire him, but Sanchez will be a worthy foil. He has more experience with Chip Kelly's offense than the other quarterbacks in camp, and has proven more durable than Bradford in his career.

Bradford has only started seven games in the past two seasons, and missed all of last year. He will be making his bid to start this year after back-to-back torn ACLs.
