Wilson appeared on Jim Ross' The Ross Report podcast and told the former WWE announcer that she still talks to Rodriguez every day.

Wilson and Rodriguez started dating in 2011, but they split up in February of this year reportedly due to the fact that A-Rod wouldn't commit to her and because his wife, Cynthia Scurtis, still plays a large role in his life.

"Alex and Torrie would fight over his flirtations with other women, and he wasn't ready to settle down again," an unidentified source told The New York Post in February.

Rodriguez is back in baseball after sitting out the entire 2014 season due to his connection to the Biogenesis clinic and performance-enhancing drugs.

Rodriguez, who turns 40 next month, is having an All-Star caliber season, hitting .290 with 15 homers and 44 RBI.

Wilson, 39, rose to fame in WCW and jumped over to WWE when Ted Turner's company went under in 2001. Wilson, a two-time Playboy Playmate, stayed with the WWE until 2008.

Wilson told Ross she doesn't watch much wrestling anymore, but she shared an interesting story about her and Sable having a major rift backstage.

Sable, whose real name is Rena, is married to Brock Lesnar in real life. Wilson said the relationship between her and Sable started out well when they were both in Playboy together, but it quickly deteriorated as Sable got jealous of Wilson and believed she was trying to take her spotlight.

Wilson said that the two had a major blowout backstage and that the majority of people caught the worst of it, but she also said that she understood Sable's side of the matter.

"She was the queen when she was in WWE," Wilson said, alluding to Sable's run at the top of the company's Divas division from 1998-99 before her second stint with the company in 2003, according to Wrestlingheadlines.com. "And then she was brought in to help promote my Playboy appearance."

Wilson also touched on her time in the WWE and rumors that she was set to be the first WWE Divas Champion, but it never materialized.

"I was there for a really long time," Wilson said while adding she wasn't sure if the rumors were true. "It would have been nice to have been the Divas Champion at least once."
