More details have been released about the highly-anticipated DVD on former WCW and TNA icon Steve "Sting" Borden, which comes shortly after he made his debut in the WWE.

3 Potential Matches For WWE SummerSlam

The WWE will release Sting: Into the Light on Oct. 13 on DVD and Blu-ray and there is confirmation that a "Road to WrestleMania 31" chapter will be included in the documentary portion.

There will also be exclusive behind-the-scenes interviews with former WCW president Eric Bischoff, WWE Superstar-turned-executive Triple H and WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan, as well as others.

Seth Rollins 'Not Afraid' Of Brock Lesnar, Updated Battleground Card

According to WrestlingDVDNews.com, this is the updated synopsis for the release:

"Get a glimpse into the man behind the black and white paint with Sting: Into the Light.

Go behind the scenes with "The Vigilante" himself as he prepares to step into a WWE ring for the first time ever on the Grandest Stage of Them All... WrestleMania. Since 1985, Sting has been the one man who never crossed over into WWE, until now!

Listen to his apprehensions, along with his excitement and hear never-before-seen interviews with Triple H, Eric Bischoff, Lex Luger, Rick Steiner, Jim Ross, Hulk Hogan and more!"

Sting rose to stardom as the face of WCW and eventually moved onto TNA after the company went under in 2001, and became a Hall of Famer for Dixie Carter's organization.

After many years of close calls between the two sides, "The Vigilante" burst on the scene in the WWE in November, when Vince McMahon was finally able to come to terms with him on a contract.

Sting then appeared at Survivor Series and got involved in the Team Authority vs. Team Cena match on Nov. 23 in St. Louis, helping the babyface team get the win and temporarily put The Authority out of power.

After making his first appearances ever on RAW, "The Vigilante" faced Triple H -- who was angry in storyline over Sting's involvement at Survivor Series -- in a clash at WrestleMania 31 on March 29 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.

The DVD will document Sting's journey to his WWE debut match.

Sting's first WWE bout was memorable, but he came up on the losing end in a clash that saw outside interference from the original nWo (Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash) and D-Generation X (X-Pac, Road Dogg, Billy Gunn and eventually Shawn Michaels).

It's unclear if Sting will ever return to the WWE ring, but he said shortly after WrestleMania 31 that he'd be open to it.

"I don't know," Sting said when Renee Young asked him about his future in the WWE in an exclusive interview in March. "I don't know what the future holds, but I do know this...I don't know. I don't know what the future holds, I really don't know. I don't know what opportunities the WWE might throw my way, but whatever they do throw my way, I'm gonna reach out and I'm gonna grab it. And if they don't throw anything my way, well that's just too bad. It's a crying shame as far as I'm concerned."

While his in-ring status is up in the air, Sting is still a big part of the WWE and his DVD will chronicle his amazing, legendary career.
