Today at 1:35 p.m. ET, the Pittsburgh Pirates (39-29) and Washington Nationals (36-33) close out a three-game set with Father's Day action live from Nationals Park in Washington, D.C.

Pittsburgh looks to avoid a sweep as it closes out a five-match road trip while Washington looks for its third straight win as it continues an eight-game homestand.

The Nationals topped the Pirates 4-1 on Friday and followed it up with a 6-0 victory on Saturday, which saw Max Scherzer throw his first-career no-hitter.

Charlie Morton (5-0, 1.62 ERA) takes the ball for Pittsburgh while the Nationals counter with Gio Gonzalez and he is 4-4 on the campaign with a 4.82 ERA.

Scherzer wasn't the only big story for the Nationals in their 6-0 win on Saturday as Bryce Harper returned to the lineup after being sidelined with a hamstring injury and he went 2-for-4 with a homer. It was his career-high 23rd long ball of the campaign.

Harper has been an MVP candidate thus far this season as he is top-five in the National League in several categories.

The Pirates counter with a lineup that is paced by centerfielder Andrew McCutchen, who is 18-for-52 (.346) with five homers and 11 extra-base hits in his last 13 games at Nationals Park.

Washington enters the day in first place in the NL East, a half-game ahead of the second-place New York Mets while Pittsburgh is placed second in the NL Central, six games behind the division-leading St. Louis Cardinals in the NL Central.
