Aaron Hernandez Video Footage: Prosecutors Turn Over Surveillance Of Former Tight End At Nightclub Arguing With Odin Lloyd Days Before He Was Found Dead

Aaron Hernandez's defense team was given a surveillance video from prosecutors Monday from a Boston nightclub where the former Patriots tight end and Odin Lloyd were allegedly having a dispute just days before Lloyd was found dead.

Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to murder in the death of Lloyd, 27, who was a Boston semi-professional football player. Lloyd's body was found on June 17th just miles from Hernandez's house in North Attleborough. Lloyd, who was shot five times, was dating Hernandez's fiancée's sister.

Neither the defense nor the prosecution will say exactly what's on the surveillance footage that was given up on Monday, but defense attorney James Sultan said he was given a "substantial amount" of material and that he and his legal team will begin to go through it in hopes of proving Hernandez's innocence.

In a brief hearing, Judge Daniel O'Shea ruled in favor of the defense's request to preserve surveillance from the Rumor nightclub from the hours of 10 p.m. on June 14 through the early morning of June 15 when authorities say Hernandez and Lloyd were at the club. Prosecutors also have reportedly received surveillance footage from a nearby homeowner. The defense will now continue to go through the footage.

Bristol County District Attorney William McCauley said the materials the prosecution turned over include video footage from the Rumor nightclub and surveillance from a local hotel.

Prosecutors are attempting to prove that Hernandez orchestrated Lloyd's murder because he wasn't happy with some of the people Lloyd spoke with that night at the club.

Two men that were also connected with Hernandez in Lloyd's murder are facing lesser charges but are both being held without bail. Ernest Wallace has pleaded not guilty to accessory to murder after the fact and Carlos Ortiz has pleaded not guilty to a firearms charge.

Hernandez has been held in jail without bail, but his defense is confident they can clear his name.
