The Golden State Warriors defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers in six games despite one of the greatest individual performances in NBA Playoffs history from LeBron James. The "King" recorded four triple-doubles in this series, and averaged 35.8 points, 13.3 rebounds and 8.8 assists and generated momentum in some circles to be named MVP despite his team losing.

Instead, the award went to Andre Iguodala, who began the series as a reserve but became crucial because of his timely hot shooting and stellar defense on James. Yes, James piled up points, rebounds and assists but when Iguodala guarded him he did so inefficiently.

On his own Iguodala averaged 16.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and four assists.

Stephen Curry had his own bid for the Finals MVP, averaging 26 points, 6.3 assists and 5.2 rebounds. Curry shot 38.5 percent from beyond the arc, and struggled mightily in both of Golden State's losses. His best performance was in Game 5, when he dropped 37 points on the Cavaliers, seemingly put a dagger in every rally Cleveland attempted to muster, and finished 7-of-13 (53 percent) from beyond the arc.
