Tonight at 7:05 p.m. ET, the Tampa Bay Rays (36-30) and Washington Nationals (34-31) take the field at Nationals Park as they meet for the third time in the past four days and continue their four-game, two-stadium series.

Tampa Bay has won four of its last five games and embarks on a five-match road trip while Washington has won three of its previous four contests and begins an eight-game homestand.

These teams split the series at Tropicana Field with the Rays winning 6-1 on Monday and the Nationals routing their opponents 16-4 on Tuesday. The clubs play at Nationals Park tonight and then again Thursday evening to close out the home-and-home.

Matt Andriese (1-1, 3.76 ERA) toes the rubber for Tampa Bay while Washington counters with Jordan Zimmermann and he is 5-4 with a 3.74 ERA thus far this season.

Andriese pitches in his first interleague game and is coming off of his first outing since May 14 as he allowed two unearned runs against the Chicago White Sox in 5.2 innings while yielding six hits and striking out five.

Zimmermann meets the Rays for the first time since allowing one run against them on five hits in his rookie season in 2009. He comes in on the heels of back-to-back losses where he surrendered 10 runs in 8.1 innings.

Bryce Harper went 3-for-3 with a homer in Tuesday's rout for the Nationals while Rene Rivera went yard for the Rays.

Harper's blast was his 22nd of the season, good for second in the NL while his .346 batting average and 52 RBI rank third in the Senior Circuit.

Harper ranks in the NL's top-five in several categories, including first in walks (54), total bases (155) on-base percentage (.481), slugging percentage (.735) and OPS (1.216).

The Rays counter with a lineup that is paced by third baseman Evan Longoria, who has a .276 batting average along with six homers and 29 RBI. Steven Souza has a club-best 12 homers.

Looking at the standings, Tampa Bay enters atop the AL East with a one-game lead over the second place New York Yankees while Washington trails the division-leading New York Mets by 1.5 games in the NL East.

The Rays and Nationals continue a home-and-home series when the set swifts to Nationals Park live tonight from Washington, D.C.
