The Chicago Blackhawks hoisted the Stanley Cup for the third time in six years on Monday night and now they'll parade around the Windy City with the greatest trophy in sports on Thursday.

5 Reasons The Blackhawks Won The Stanley Cup

It was confirmed on Tuesday that the parade and rally for the Blackhawks 2014-15 Stanley Cup victory will occur on Thursday, but further details have yet to be revealed.

With heavy rains and flooding hitting the area on Monday, the location for the parade has yet to be determined and more rain is expected in the forecast.

The celebration will mark the third time in the last six years that this Original Six franchise has celebrated with the Cup as they won the NHL's highest honor in 2010 and 2013.

When they won the Cup in 2013, the parade marched through the city of Chicago and ended with a rally at Grant Park. An announcement on the location should happen within the next few hours.

"Be ready, Chicagoans, because in the coming days we will put on a world class celebration for a world class team," Mayor Rahm Emanuel said in a statement, according to Chicago's NBC affiliate.

The Blackhawks blanked the Tampa Bay Lightning 2-0 at the United Center on Monday to clinch the series.

Much like 2010 and 2013, Chicago won the trophy in six games, but this time they were able to do it on home ice. It marked the first time since 1938 that the Blackhawks lifted the Stanley Cup in Chicago -- concluding a 77-year span.

Conn Smythe-trophy winner Duncan Keith and forward Patrick Kane tallied the goals for the Blackhawks while Corey Crawford stopped all 25 shots he faced to win his second Cup with the team.

The 2-0 win marked the first time all series a game was decided by less than a goal and the only time in the set either team had a two-goal lead.

The city of Chicago is ready to celebrate once again as the Blackhawks have won yet another Stanley Cup.
