After airing three WWE Network special events in six weeks, the WWE has five weeks to build toward Battleground, which emanates live from the Scottrade Center in St. Louis on July 19.

WWE Monday Night RAW Rumors and Preview

With Money in the Bank said and done, the attention now shifts to Battleground and the WWE has already announced that Roman Reigns will take on Bray Wyatt while the rest of the card remains up in the air.

Here are five possible matches for the Battleground event next month on pay-per-view and the WWE Network.

Sheamus Talks Winning Money in the Bank, Vows Championship Victory

WWE Intercontinental Championship Triple Threat Match: Ryback (c) vs. The Miz vs. The Big Show

This one seems inevitable as Ryback and Big Show went head-to-head at Money in the Bank, but it was interrupted by The Miz, who caused a disqualification and then attacked both men.

While Big Show vs. Ryback didn't have many members of the WWE Universe excited, the storyline is likely to continue and evolve into a Triple Threat Match now that The Miz has interjected himself into things. It makes sense that these three combatants would clash next month at Battleground.

WWE Divas Championship: Nikki Bella (c) vs. Paige w/ Brie Bella banned from ringside

The WWE has gotten a lot of mileage out of the Twin Magic gimmick and after Brie Bella once again got involved to help out her sister at Money in the Bank (though she actually was pinned), it seems to set up a last chance match for Paige where she battles Nikki without her sister at ringside.

This would then in kayfabe give Paige a fair shot at winning the gold one last time and also have Bella follow in the path of WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins by guaranteeing to retain her gold without anyone's help. The stipulation would be if Brie helped Nikki in any way, she'd lose her belt and the streak she's been on as champion.

Last Man Standing Match Champion vs. Champion: John Cena (United States Champion) vs. Kevin Owens (NXT Champion)

I almost balked at putting a gimmick on this match because the two men have had two straight fantastic bouts without needing one, but with this being the decisive tie-breaker and following Owens' savage beat down of Cena, it would make sense that the WWE would add a stipulation to their next clash.

With Owens winning at Elimination Chamber and Cena getting the better of the NXT Champion at Money in the Bank, it only makes sense that they have a rubber match for the gold. Cena and Owens actually even stole the show on both occasions, so with five weeks to build toward the ending of their trilogy, it's certain to be an even better battle with bigger stakes.

Money in the Bank Contract Match: Sheamus vs. Dean Ambrose

Now that The Lunatic Fringe has lost to Seth Rollins at two straight events, The Authority can saunter him down to the bottom rung of the No. 1 contender's latter for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Out of desperation, Ambrose could make life hell for Sheamus, who just won the briefcase Sunday night.

When the Celtic Warrior vows to get revenge in the ring against Ambrose, the former Shield member could demand that he'll only step in the squared circle with Sheamus if he puts the briefcase on the line. Hell bent on revenge and oozing with confidence in himself, Sheamus would then accept the bout and face Ambrose at Battleground.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship: Seth Rollins (c) vs. Brock Lesnar

Many online sources have indicated that there are plans for The Beast to return sometime within the next month and have a match at Battleground, and since he was never pinned to lose the gold, it makes sense that he should get a shot at The Architect.

The WWE may want to save such a match for SummerSlam, but there are also rumors that a Lesnar-Randy Orton encounter could happen that night in Brooklyn instead. With Rollins taking advantage of his Money in the Bank briefcase, he was able to win the gold without pinning Lesnar, who held it for 224 days up to that point at WrestleMania 31.

Now, Lesnar will come back with a vengeance and look to regain a belt that he never lost. The Architect, brimming with confidence from knocking off Ambrose with no one's help at Money in the Bank, would be game for a bout with Lesnar in kayfabe. This match may be a long shot, because The Authority's storyline suspension of Lesnar may lead to them not allowing him a rematch for the gold so quickly after returning.

Here is what the Battleground card would look like in this fantasy booking scenario (A Tag Team Championship bout and other filler matches would round-out the card):

WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Seth Rollins (c) vs. Brock Lesnar w/ Paul Heyman

Money in the Bank Contract Match
Sheamus (MITB holder) vs. Dean Ambrose

Singles Match
Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt

Last Man Standing Champion vs. Champion Match
John Cena (United States Champion) vs. Kevin Owens (NXT Champion)

WWE Intercontinental Championship Triple Threat Match
Ryback (c) vs. Big Show vs. The Miz

WWE Divas Championship
Nikki Bella (c) vs. Paige
***Brie Bella is banned from ringside.
