CM Punk is done with the WWE and, in his own words, is "never" coming back, but he still took some time out to pay tribute to Dusty Rhodes.

WWE Money in the Bank 2015 Predictions and Preview

Rhodes, whose real name is Virgil Runnels, passed away at age 69 on Thursday morning after suffering complications from a fall in his home on Wednesday.

Many past and present wrestling personnel have paid tribute to The American Dream, who was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007, and Punk was the latest to do the same.

More Details Emerge Concerning Dusty Rhodes' Death

The Best in the World took his official Twitter account to acknowledge the passing of Rhodes and actor Christopher Lee, who played Dracula and passed away June 7 after being admitted into the hospital for respiratory problems and heart failure.

Punk rarely speaks about wrestling anymore since he walked out on the WWE in January 2014 after sustaining a concussion at the Royal Rumble event.

Punk later stated on his friend Colt Cabana's podcast that he left due to being "creatively stifled" and due to the WWE asking him to work hurt on multiple occasions. He later said in interviews he'd never return and that he rarely watches the product anymore, if ever.

The former WWE Champion also took aim at WWE doctor Chris Amann, who he said misdiagnosed him on several occasions, which included the aftermath of his head injury in 2014.

Amann swiftly responded with a defamation lawsuit against Punk and Cabana, causing The Best in the World's wife AJ Lee to retire from the WWE, according to multiple reports.

Punk signed with UFC in December and is preparing for his first fight in the Octagon, which is loosely slated for late 2015, though it hasn't been specified when and where it will occur.

The wrestling world lost a huge legend in Rhodes and even Punk, who seemingly despises wrestling these days, paid homage to one of the greatest personalities to ever grace the industry.
