METS vs MARLINS Watch Live Stream Online & Listen: Live Coverage from Miami

Today at 12:40 p.m. in Miami, the New York Mets (48-57) will look to take their third game in a four-game series against the Marlins (41-65) in action that can be live streamed here. Mets fans can tune in to the action on 101.9 WFAN FM while Marlins fans can hear the game on 104.3 FM.

If the Marlins want to achieve a split in this extended set, they will have to score a win against Mets ace Matt Harvey (8-2, 2.11 ERA) who has been dominant for the Amazins all year long.

In 17.2 career innings against the Marlins, Harvey has not factored into a decision. He has, however, struck out 18 batters while walking four, and compiled a 3.12 ERA against the Floridian fish. This season, though, the Marlins haven't been intimidated by the "Dark Knight of Gotham," posting a .333 batting average against the hard-throwing righty in 2013.

The Marlins will hope their lineup's youngsters can rise to the challenge of facing one of the game's best hurlers. Last night in a Miami victory, rookie Jake Marisnick hit his first ever big league home run, and will look for more of the same today.

"It felt good," said Marisnick. "It was the first at-bat where I really slowed everything down."

Marisnick figures to be a key player going forward this year for the Marlins, joining outfielder Giancarlo Stanton, shortstop Adeiny Hechavarria, and future ace pitcher Jose Fernandez in a promising core.

Marlins manager Mike Redmond preached patience regarding the neophytes, especially the ones Miami received in the Jose Reyes trade. "I think you realize how good of players we got in that trade and how much those guys are going to be a big part of not only this team this year, but the future," Redmond said. "These guys can play."
