Seth Rollins shocked the world when the WWE booked him to turn on his Shield stablemates on June 2, 2014.

Projected Card For WWE Money in the Bank 2015

Now, just over a year later, it's a good time to reflect on what has happened to Rollins, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose since that fateful night that The Architect joined The Authority.

The three former Hounds of Justice members have had quite the busy year throughout the WWE, but some members of the trio have been booked more favorably than others since Rollins took that steel chair and ripped apart The Shield.

Here are our rankings from least to greatest of how the Superstars have fared on WWE television since the split.

3) Dean Ambrose: The Lunatic Fringe drew the short straw following the split of The Shield as he was tossed into midcard feud after midcard feud and absorbed several losses within the last year.

Following the breakup, Ambrose changed his look, but remained a crazed babyface that could snap at any minute. Ambrose began a brief feud with Rollins following the split, but the rivalry was quickly tossed aside for a series of battles with Bray Wyatt.

The Eater of Worlds knocked off Ambrose time and time again during that feud and he ended up moving on to a rivalry with Bad News Barrett, where once again he was unable to get the upper-hand and wrestle the Intercontinental Championship away from the future King of the Ring.

Ambrose only recently got his first pay-per-view and WWE Network special win since the dissolution of The Shield when he defeated Luke Harper at Extreme Rules in April. One upside since the schism, however, was his character continued to grow as an unstable lunatic.

While Ambrose has been booked the weakest since the split, the WWE has started to make him more of a factor on television recently by having him face The Architect in the main event at Elimination Chamber -- a bout he won by disqualification -- and then signing a rematch between the pair in a Ladder Match for the upcoming Money in the Bank event on June 14.

2) Roman Reigns: It appeared as though the Leader of the Roman Empire was destined to land atop this list after the split of The Shield, however the best laid plans of the WWE took a swerve.

Reigns quickly and infuriatingly moved on from Rollins after The Architect turned his back on him, and after losing the Money in the Bank Ladder Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Money in the Bank 2014, he was rewarded with an early WWE Championship shot in a Fatal 4 Way with John Cena, Kane and Randy Orton, which was won by the Cenation leader.

Reigns then was finally set to feud with Rollins when a real life hernia caused him to miss a chunk of time and kept him sidelined until December and a feud with The Big Show loomed when he returned.

Despite missing several months in which he could have developed, the WWE wouldn't alter its plans of making Reigns its next big star.

The company booked him to win the Royal Rumble Match, a move that was jeered heavily by the fans in attendance, especially due to the treatment of fan favorites such as Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler and Ambrose during the bout as well as the overuse of Big Show and Kane.

Even the appearance of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson couldn't soften the blow for the WWE Universe.

Reigns went on to defeat Bryan at Fastlane to remain No. 1 contender for the gold as the WWE wanted to use The Beard as a way to make Reigns seem like a legit star at the expense of Bryan's fans, who were once again alienated by McMahon's creative team.

Nevertheless, Reigns showed signs of improvement during that battle and while he may not have seemed ready for the biggest match of the year, he certainly put on a strong showing.

It then appeared as though Reigns was set to take down Brock Lesnar, who ended the WrestleMania streak of The Undertaker and decimated Cena at SummerSlam 2014 to begin a 224-day reign atop the company at WrestleMania 31.

The WWE deviated from its reported original plans and Reigns didn't escape Levi's Stadium with the richest prize in the game -- despite many rumors that he would -- but he has looked strong ever since the breakup of The Shield and is still an impact player atop the WWE roster.

1) Seth Rollins: The Architect is undoubtedly the man who benefitted the greatest from the end of The Shield. After turning his back on his stablemates and engaging in a feud with Ambrose, Rollins began to find his own on the microphone and continued to shine in the ring during the summer of 2014.

Rollins went on to win the Money in the Bank briefcase at Money in the Bank 2014 mere weeks after The Shield dissolved in what propelled him into being a major player and gave him more of a reason to get over as a cocky heel.

With Lesnar's contract making him a part-time star, Rollins became the de facto top heel in the company and showed the world that he could carry the No. 1 wrestling promotion in the world as its top guy if the WWE wanted to take a risk and put the gold on him.

For months, Rollins strolled out, briefcase in hand, and chastised the crowd, telling them he didn't sell out, but he bought in.

After his feud with Ambrose, Rollins exceled in a losing effort in the Team Cena vs. Team Authority match at Survivor Series and had a solid TLC match with Cena in December.

Rollins also was involved in an early Match of the Year candidate when he clashed with Cena and Lesnar at the Royal Rumble.

All of this built up beautifully to his crowning moment as Rollins shocked the world by cashing in his Money in the Bank contract at WrestleMania 31 and pinned Reigns to simultaneously ruin his former friend's big moment and win Lesnar's title without The Beast being pinned in one of the greatest endings to the Showcase of the Immortals of all time.

The Authority's rising star then topped Orton in a Steel Cage Match at Extreme Rules and followed it up by defeating Orton, Ambrose and Reigns in a Fatal 4 Way Match at Payback by hitting The Viper with a Pedigree.

Rollins has held the richest prize in the game for 66 days now and he is set for another clash with Ambrose on June 14 after losing to him by disqualification at Elimination Chamber.

The Architect has constructed quite a year after the fall of The Shield, Curb Stomping his way to the biggest title in the company at WrestleMania 31 and playing a great cocky, cowardly heel.

One year in the books, all three former Shield members have had some interesting storylines. It'll now be compelling to see what Year 2 has in store for Rollins, Reigns and Ambrose.
