Tonight at 7:05 p.m. ET, the Cincinnati Reds (22-25) and Philadelphia Phillies (19-33) open up a three-game series live from Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.

Cincinnati embarks on a brief three-game road series in search of its fourth consecutive triumph while Philadelphia continues a nine-game homestand looking to halt a seven-match skid

The Reds took all three of their games with the Washington Nationals over the weekend while the Phillies were swept by the Rockies in Colorado in three meetings.

Johnny Cueto (3-4, 3.03 ERA) takes the ball for Cincinnati while the Phillies counter with Sean O'Sullivan and he is 1-4 with a 4.81 ERA.

Cueto believes he's ready to go after missing his last start due to elbow stiffness as he pitches in his first game since May 19.

O'Sullivan, meanwhile, will look to shake off a rough outing in which he allowed seven runs in 5.1 innings last time out against the New York Mets while he'll also attempt to get past the sixth inning for the first time this year.

Cueto is fourth in the National League with a 0.96 WHIP, but in his four losses he's only received two runs of support combined from his team.

The Reds haven't won a series at Citizens Bank Park since August 2006 and are 8-21 during that stretch. These teams will play each other for three more games again next week at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati.

Reds third baseman Todd Frazier ranks second in the NL with 16 homers while he also places third with 113 total bases and a .624 slugging percentage and fifth with a .996 OPS. Cincinnati centerfielder Billy Hamilton is first in Major League Baseball with 21 stolen bases.

The Phillies counter with a lineup that is mostly impacted by first baseman Ryan Howard, who may only have a .244 batting average, but also leads the team with 10 homers and 25 RBI.

Philadelphia infielder Freddy Galvis has a team-best .289 average while outfielder Ben Revere is tied for second in the NL with four triples.

The Reds enter play in fourth place in the NL Central, 10.5 games behind the first-place St. Louis Cardinals while the Phillies are last in the NL East, 10.5 games behind the division-leading Washington Nationals.

The Reds and Phillies kick off a three-game set live from Citizens Bank Park tonight in Philadelphia.
