Barack Obama appears to be the latest person to acknowledge the greatness of Stephen Curry. The newly-crowned NBA Most Valuable Player has led the Golden State Warriors into an NBA Finals matchup against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Mark Wahlberg Pushing Jimmy Butler Toward Boston?

Curry is a great all-around player, but everybody knows him because of his shooting prowess. Curry is already probably the greatest shooter in NBA history, and he routinely takes and makes (at a high percentage, no less) shots that other players can only dream about. During a Q&A session on Twitter this week, President Obama was asked about his thoughts on the Finals.

For those that have not been paying attention, J.R. Smith has been lighting it up from all over the floor all postseason, and his white-hot shooting is one of the primary reasons that the Cavs have been able to survive the loss of Kevin Love to injury.

Paul Pierce Responsible For LeBron Becoming The Best?

Unfortunately for Smith and the Cavs, another shooter's white-hot is Steph Curry's warm-up setting, as Curry has basically been the real-life equivalent of being "on fire" in NBA Jam, which is something the POTUS apparently knows.

Of course, Obama is also correct that regardless of how well Smith shoots the ball, the Cavs' chances hinge on LeBron playing like the best player in the league.

It is shaping up to be an exciting series.
