Bill Goldberg never got a chance to work as a heel in professional wrestling, but he said he really wishes that he was able to be a villain while he also recently praised The Undertaker.

Kevin Nash Teases Retirement Match On Twitter

Goldberg spoke to The Inquisitr and said that while he enjoyed his run as a babyface in the WWE and WCW, he wishes he could have been a top heel at some point.

"I'm glad because I can be a role model for kids but oh man, did I want to be a heel," Goldberg said. "I would have been the best Bruiser Brody'ish, bald, freaking monster anybody would have been. People think Brock [Lesnar] is good as a heel, oh man. They turned me one time in WCW in Baltimore, the night before I wrestled Hacksaw Jim Duggan and he just got over surgery and he had cancer. I had to go out and blast him and had a Make-A-Wish girl in the back, with cancer. So I come back after the match and she's in tears, wrestling is wrestling, I get it, the good, bad and evil and trying to storyline people in and out of what they think is going to happen. But I wasn't going to do that. I failed as a wrestler in that I didn't turn heel but I think I won as a human being. Because if there is one girl or one kid that thinks less of me and doesn't idolize me because of the fictitious stuff I've done in the ring in a negative fashion, I don't want to risk that. I didn't reach the level I could have reached but it doesn't matter to me. That one little girl destroyed me and I told them the next day that we're going back, immediately."

Samoa Joe Discusses Leaving TNA For NXT And More

Goldberg burst on the scene as a babyface in WCW in 1997 and became one of the top stars thanks to a 173-0 streak he was booked to go on as he rampaged through the WCW locker room.

The unbeaten record was put to bed when Kevin Nash infamously booked himself to end The Streak at WCW Starrcade 1998 when he pinned Goldberg for the first time following outside interference from Scott Hall, leading to a WCW World Heavyweight Championship win for "Big Sexy."

After WCW went under in 2001, Goldberg eventually jumped over to the WWE in 2003, where he remained a babyface and won the World Heavyweight Championship.

One Superstar Goldberg respected in the WWE was The Undertaker as he praised the Man from the Darkside.

"[The Undertaker's] awesome, dude," Goldberg said. "Talk about revolutionizing the business, he was unbelievable and to see that he still does it in some capacity is unbelievable. And he's a great guy and I very much appreciate him both in and out of the ring."

The Undertaker is known for a legendary streak of his own at WrestleMania, which ended last year when he lost to Lesnar.

Goldberg hasn't ruled out a return to the ring, but his negotiations with the WWE for a possible appearance at WrestleMania XXX fell flat last year.

Goldberg told Fox Sports last month that a return to the squared circle is going to happen, but it remains to be seen when such a comeback will occur.

"If I put wrestling boots and wrestling trunks on one last time -- and I'm going to -- it's going to be done by me and me only," he said.
