WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash appears to be clamoring for a return to the squared circle.

The former WWE and WCW wrestler took to his official Twitter account and said that he wants to return to the ring for one final retirement bout.

The former nWo member said he wants to have a proper retirement and that he'd like the WWE to chronicle the buildup to his match on the WWE Network similar to what HBO does with the 24/7 series with boxing:

Nash gained notoriety in the WWE as the "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel character and after initially serving as the bodyguard to Shawn Michaels, he ended up becoming the WWE Champion before defecting to WCW.

From there, he formed the original nWo with Scott Hall and Hulk Hogan and changed the landscape of wrestling by sparking WCW to gain momentum and eventually overcome the WWE during the Monday Night Wars.

Nash ended up not only being a one-time WWE Champion, but a one-time Intercontinental Champion, two-time Tag Team Champion and a Triple Crown winner.

In WCW, Nash was a five-time World Heavyweight Champion and a nine-time Tag Team Champion.

Since WCW went under, Nash has made sporadic appearances in the WWE -- including as a surprise entrant in the 2011 Royal Rumble Match -- but he hasn't had an official retirement match.

Nash was inducted into the Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2015 prior to WrestleMania 31 in March and he made a memorable run-in alongside Hogan and Hall on behalf of Sting during his match with Triple H at the "Show of Shows."

It remains to be seen if the WWE will go for the retirement match, but it's possible Nash could have one final bout left in him on the WWE stage.
