The Carolina Panthers snuck into the playoffs last season thanks to playing in one of the weakest divisions in NFL history. They won the NFC South with a record of 7-8-1, and then they were able to host a playoff game as a reward.

Dallas Regretting Letting DeMarco Murray Leave?

The Panthers have seen good times and bad times since drafting Cam Newton first overall in 2011. He has done some amazing things on the field, but that has not always translated into wins because the team has struggled to surround Newton with talented players.

According to AL.com, Newton still has plenty of confidence in himself and in his ability. Newton had his worst professional season last year, but he struggled with injuries all season and never really looked healthy while he was on the field.

Chip Kelly Dialing Back The Aggression This Season?

During a recent interview, it was mentioned that Newton has been called both the NFL's "greatest talent" and its "greatest unknown," and the Panthers' signal-caller was asked if he agreed with that assessment.

"Absolutely not,." replied Newton. "And I say this with the most humility, but I don't think nobody has ever been who I'm trying to be. Nobody has the size, nobody has the speed, nobody has the arm strength, nobody had the intangibles that I've had. I'm not saying that to say I'm a one-on-one type of person that this league will never see another. No, I'm not saying that. Hear me out. I'm just saying that so much of my talents have not been seen in one person."
