Amir "King" Khan is the frontrunner to face Floyd Mayweather Jr. this fall in what could be the final fight of Mayweather's career. Khan has looked like a frontrunner before and been passed over though, so nothing is guaranteed.

Despite three losses in his career already Khan believes his style and skills are the solution to Mayweather's masterful defense. Khan's not shy to speak his mind, and said recently Mayweather's hoping he "flops" in his upcoming fight so he won't have to risk his perfect record.

"They are hoping I have a bad performance," Khan said. "They are waiting for a bad fight from me, so they can turn round and say 'we knew you weren't good enough.'"

Khan, who recently moved up to welterweight where he says he has more punching power and a better chin, said that he's been put in the ring with Chris Algieri because Algieri's jackrabbit style of fighting can make fighters look ineffectual.

"Everyone they put to me, I've answered all the questions. I've beaten them in good fashion. So I think this is their last hope now. They're thinking Chris Algieri has a style which doesn't make people look good."

Algieri's style enabled him to overcome two first round knockdowns against a brutal puncher in Ruslan "Siberian Rocky" Provodnikov, but wasn't enough to avoid a one-sided loss to Manny Pacquiao in the next weight class up.

He will be as desperate for a win as Khan; while Khan is looking to set up a big-money payday vs. Mayweather, or a fight in the U.K. against unbeaten IBF champion Kell Brook, Algieri is looking to keep his reputation as a headline-caliber fighter.
